The Harps

We have made every effort to make the building experience of that instrument as enjoyable as possible, and provide you with an impressive, beautiful sounding harp at a modest price. We hope you will build this kit because you want the emotional and spiritual joy that the building process brings.

It is rewarding to play a harp that you fashioned with your own hands, or you might be building this for a child or spouse, which has its own reward as a gift for someone you love.

We encourage you as you begin this endeavor to remember that it IS possible for you to build a very nice harp. If you are prepared to invest time and effort in this project, you will be rewarded with a great experience of building a musical instrument.

The Cambria Harp, Nylon 22 is a small 22 string instrument. Range is A-220 to A-880 (three octaves). This is not intended to be anything but a travel instrument, useful for keeping your hand in while away from your principle instrument.

The Cambria Wire 22 is the wire string companion to the Nylon 22, to be built with a hardwood soundboard, and wire string spacing. Range is middle C-130.8 to C-1046.5 (two octaves above). An excellent travel instrument, but due to its limited range, it is not intended to be one’s only harp. The ancient Celtic harps of Ireland and Scotland were all originally wire strung harp.

The Cambria 22 kits are only available in Stage 1 kits.  It is also possible to purchase only the Plan or Manuals.
